Not only do I enjoy pointing my camera at stunning brides and beautiful families but I also get to work with gorgeous people who are in need of some amazing portraits and today in Cherry Valley we did just that.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with Brooke who has tons of experience in the modeling world all because of my own background in model and fashion photography. Literally I wouldn’t be here doing what I am doing if it weren’t for the great people I had the pleasure of working with in the past rocking model sessions such as hairstylists, models from all over the US, makeup artists and all the other talented people who come to work on set each and every day. I took the knowledge from that field and have applied it each and every time I’m on a shoot whether it’s lighting, posing or even styling. Thankfully I still dabble a bit on the creative side of things and my camera still graces the beauty of models from time to time.
Just like most shoots there is a planning involved and in the time it took the weather to finally clear up we had some ideas in place and outfits set. Luckily with Brooke we didn’t have to really sit down and work on posing or styling or even the makeup because she possess all those talents which is a major bonus. Honestly, we walked on to the shoot and after a few tests shots it was game time.
Thankfully Shadwick Bowser was there to lend a helping hand with lighting and such because we had a bit of harsh sun today. I really can’t complain too much about the sun since it’s been cold and gross for the longest time. We started our adventure at Baumann Park in Cherry Valley and moved to a little more urban area tucked neatly away in the neighborhood right near by.
In all it was a great shoot with plenty of smiles and laughter. Thank you Brooke for being so awesome and I can’t wait to work with you again in the future!
